Chennai: Tamil Nadu cancelled 100 per cent occupancy in film theatres right this moment after the Centre objected to it and requested the state to scrap the order. The Residence Ministry had given Tamil Nadu a reminder to observe the Centre’s coronavirus pointers.
“State/UT governments shall not dilute these pointers… in any method and shall strictly implement the identical,” the letter learn, pointing to the ministry pointers.
“In view of the above, the GoTN (Authorities of Tamil Nadu) is requested to instantly challenge needed order to carry their pointers according to the MHA pointers dated 28th December 2020 and inform compliance to this ministry,” the letter learn.
The letter additionally cited a Supreme Courtroom order that requested states to implement Covid-appropriate behaviour, together with sporting of masks and sustaining social distancing.
