The collection was initially scheduled to start from July 13, however as a result of COVID-19 problems, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) revised the schedule, and now the ODI leg will start on July 18, whereas the T20I collection shall begin on July 25.
All six video games will happen on the iconic R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Ranjan Madugalle has been chosen because the match referee for each ODIs and T20Is. Few different ICC worldwide panel umpires, Ruchira Palliyaguruge, Prageeth Rambukwella, Raveendra Wimalasiri, Lyndon Hannibal, have been on the listing for the upcoming collection.
“The above officers have been appointed to officiate in the course of the ODI, and T20I collection of the India Tour of Sri Lanka 2021,” Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) stated in a press release.
After the schedule was modified, Ashley De Silva, CEO of SLC, appreciated the Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI) and expressed his gratitude for the cooperation.
“We’re grateful for the BCCI for understanding the state of affairs and agreeing to cooperate with us at this second of time, because it has performed on quite a few events, throughout our long-standing relationship,” De Silva had stated as quoted by SLC official web site.
