Gangtok: The Sikkim authorities on Thursday banned the import of all poultry merchandise from different states for a month within the wake of the outbreak of avian influenza in varied locations throughout the nation.
A notification on the ban was issued by the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Providers Division Secretary, SD Subba.
