Seoul: North Korean chief Kim Jong Un pledged to strengthen his nation’s nuclear arsenal in his closing tackle to the highest assembly of his ruling celebration, state media reported Wednesday.

“Whereas strengthening our nuclear warfare deterrent, we have to do everything so as to construct essentially the most highly effective army,” the official Korean Central News Company cited him as saying.
