A subsequent joint report by the EIFCA and the Centre for Atmosphere, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) stated the toxins discovered had been sometimes related to molluscs – mussels, clams, oysters and scallops – which washed up on the jap seashores after winter storms.
