Thane: 4 brothers from Navi Mumbai have been arrested for allegedly killing a 39-year-old man, who was in a relationship with the spouse of one of many siblings, a police official mentioned.
The 4 brothers, all residents of Diwale village in Navi Mumbai’s CBD Belapur, had been arrested on December 31, DCP (Zone-I)Suresh Mengde mentioned.
“The sufferer, Somnath Koli, a fisherman was in a relationship with the spouse of one of many accused, Prasad Aditrao Koli (27). Koli was their neighbour,” he mentioned on Saturday.
On the evening of December 29, the accused kidnapped the sufferer from a bar in CBD Belapur. They took him to a spot close to a creek of their autorickshaw and stoned him to dying.
In addition they hid his physique beneath rocks, the DCP mentioned.
Koli’s relations later filed a criticism with the police following which a case beneath IPC part 364 (kidnapping) was registered, he added.
“In the course of the probe, the police recovered the physique and despatched it for autopsy. IPC sections 302 (homicide) and 201 (inflicting disappearance of proof of offence) had been later added within the case,” the officer mentioned.
The opposite three accused had been recognized as Yogesh Aditrao Koli (23) and his elder bothers Datta (29) and Nagesh (31), senior inspector of CBD Belapur police station Anil Patil mentioned.
