Centre’s advocate Rui Rodrigues submitted I&B ministry’s reply stating that whereas importing Gokhale’s particulars, it had complied with an October 2014 workplace memorandum for proactive disclosure of RTI purposes, appeals and replies. After receiving Gokhale’s July 29 letter, it learnt of the October 2016 workplace memorandum that directed private particulars shall not be disclosed. Until then, 4,474 RTI purposes had been uploaded with the private data of all candidates. They had been all eliminated on August 1, 2020.
However Gokhale submitted that as of September 4, his private particulars had been nonetheless on I&B ministry’s web site. The judges requested if any motion was initiated into the lapse with regard to the over 4,000 RTI purposes on-line. “This isn’t solely the petitioner’s case,” stated Justice Jamdar.
Gokhale stated, “That is mass violation of the basic rights of so many.”
