A second individual has been struck by a practice between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Road practice stations.
ScotRail confirmed the tragedy this night, stating it had obtained reviews that an individual was hit by practice at round 6pm.
Companies between Glasgow Central and Gilmour Road have been diverted for a number of hours because the emergency companies attended the scene.
Passengers have been as an alternative suggested to journey to Paisley Canal.
A spokesperson for ScotRail stated: “Sadly, we’ve had reviews that an individual has been struck by a practice between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Road.
“All companies between Glasgow Central and Ayr, Largs, Ardrossan, Wemyss Bay and Gourock are being disrupted.
“Glasgow Central to Paisley Canal is unaffected.”
It’s understood the road has since reopened.
The second tragedy to have taken place on the railways prior to now 28 hours, one other individual was additionally hit by a practice on the route at 9.44pm final evening.
