Being a hero on screen is one thing. Being a hero live is quite another. Recently Kartik Aaryan gave quite a new ‘twist’ (pun intended) to the show-must-go-on adage while performing live on stage at an event. Kartik suffered a serious leg-freeze. A source close to the development reveals, “It is surprising that Kartik has kept it a secret for so long. What happened to him on stage was not a small matter. We were all really really scared.”
When asked to elaborate, the source spills the beans. “It was the closing act of the evening and Kartik Aaryan was doing his signature step from Bhool Bhulaiya 2 when his ankle twisted and his leg froze in mid-air. He twisted his ankle so badly that he couldn’t move his leg back to the stage floor. Everyone thought Kartik was pulling a prank. But when the gravity of the situation sank in, we were all aghast.”

Apparently Kartik remained frozen on stage for a good 20-30 minutes, until medical help arrived. “The medical team and the physio-therapist examined his ankle and relieved him of acute pain. He was then helped back to the van. But until then, we were in a state of panic. All except Kartik, who remained calm like a monk,” explains the source.

We’ve been told the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2‘ star had made a speedy recovery and is already back to work.
