Twelve BJP MLAs from Maharashtra on Thursday moved the Supreme Court docket difficult their one-year suspension from the state Legislative Meeting for alleged misbehaviour with the presiding officer. On July 5, these 12 MLAs have been suspended from the Meeting for one 12 months after the state authorities had accused them of “misbehaving” with presiding officer Bhaskar Jadhav within the Speaker’s chamber.
Advocate Abhikalp Pratap Singh mentioned he has filed the petition within the apex court docket on behalf of those MLAs and so they have challenged the decision handed by the Meeting to droop these lawmakers for one 12 months. The 12 suspended members are- Sanjay Kute, Ashish Shelar, Abhimanyu Pawar, Girish Mahajan, Atul Bhatkhalkar, Parag Alavani, Harish Pimpale, Yogesh Sagar, Jay Kumar Rawat, Narayan Kuche, Ram Satpute and Bunty Bhangdia.
The movement to droop these MLAs was moved by state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anil Parab and handed by a voice vote.
